How can I test the power supply myself?

You can check a power supply that you suspect is defective by seeing if the green LED is lit and testing the cables for loose connections; if the control unit fails or briefly turns on and off, this indicates a defect.

If your control unit won't turn on and you suspect that the power supply is defective, you can check it as follows:

Check the LED on the power supply

Plug the power supply into an outlet.

  • Is the green LED on the power supply not lit? Then the power supply is defective and must be replaced.
  • Is the green LED on the power supply lit? Then the power supply is generally working properly. The problem may lie elsewhere.

Check the cable for a loose connection

If the control unit still does not start, the black wire of the power supply may have a loose connection. Here’s how to check:

  • Leave the power supply plugged into the outlet and turn the control unit on (switch to I).
  • Gently wiggle all cable sections from the power supply’s kink protection to the plug.
  • Does the control unit start up briefly or turn off again?
Then there is a loose connection. In this case, the power supply is defective and must be replaced.
