Why is the display showing a warning triangle and why is the device beeping continuously?

The device detects an unnaturally low resistance and enters short-circuit mode, which is usually caused by a faulty device configuration.

If a warning triangle appears on the display and the device beeps continuously, it is in short-circuit mode. This means that the device is measuring a very low resistance – significantly lower than normal body resistance. This may indicate a fault in the device setup, which is why therapy does not start in this case.

Here’s what to do:

  • Check that the device is set up correctly.
  • Ensure that the electrodes do not touch each other.
  • If the device continues to enter short-circuit mode despite being set up correctly, please contact your dealer or Saalmann medical directly.
