How can I check the functionality of the control unit myself?

Turn on the control unit and check whether the display lights up blue, the settings are shown, and a beep sounds. Also, use a white wire between sockets E1 and E2 to test whether the unit enters short-circuit mode. If so, it is working properly.

If you suspect that the control unit is not working properly or is no longer providing sufficient power, you can check a few simple steps yourself:

1. Turn on the device

  • Turn on the device.
  • The display should immediately light up solid blue.
  • If this does not happen, please check the power supply or the power adapter.

2. Device is ready for operation

After a few seconds, the display automatically switches to the settings menu and the device emits a short beep.

You can now set the parameters—the device is ready for operation.

3. Checking Function

To check whether the control unit is working properly, you can simulate a short circuit:

  • Take a white electrical wire.
  • Use it to connect sockets E1 and E2 on the back of the control unit.
  • The device should now emit a continuous beep and display a warning triangle on the screen.

If this display appears, the control unit is functioning properly.

If the device does not become operational or the short-circuit mode is not triggered, the control unit is unfortunately defective.
