After the treatment, the treated areas may experience slight, temporary reddening of the skin. This is completely harmless. The skin reddens because the blood vessels dilate briefly and blood circulation is stimulated. This reaction has nothing to do with the treatment’s sweat-reducing effect. The redness usually disappears on its own after 1–2 hours.
If the skin reddens evenly across all treated areas, this is actually a good sign: it indicates that the current has been applied evenly. This redness is often more pronounced under the armpits and on the face; on the hands and feet, it is usually somewhat less noticeable.
