The discomfort felt at the start of the therapy is caused by the necessary increase in voltage required to reach the target current. Some users may find this phase unpleasant. In this case, you can slow down the voltage rise by increasing the current manually. For example, start at 3 mA and then gradually increase this value to your target value. If using the device on your hand, you will of course need someone to assist you.
