Shaving or hair removal under the arms or on the face can damage and irritate the skin. In addition to invisible injuries, small red spots, pimples, or blisters may appear—sometimes even several days later.
During a treatment, the skin may then be more sensitive, additional irritation may occur, or the skin may react sensitively to the electrical current.
Here’s what you should keep in mind:
- After shaving or hair removal, wait at least 24 hours before starting treatment.
- If you have visible pustules or blisters, you should pause treatment until your skin looks healthy again.
If you plan to remove hair, it is best to do so after the treatment. This gives the skin enough time to recover before the next treatment.
